With a continuously running clock do one 135 pound Clean and Jerk the first minute, two 135 pound Clean and Jerks the second minute, three 135 pound Clean and Jerks the third minute… continuing as long as you are able.

Use as many sets each minute as needed.

Had to par this back to #105 or I wouldn’t have made it through 2 rounds.

As it was, I only made 4 rounds.

I learned a valuable lesson tonight. I learned how to screw up a good rally and psych myself out. I did the 3rd round easily and realized I wasn’t keeping track of my weight. I started calculating where I was when I realized I was only 5# from my PR and it had been too easy. I tried the 165 and could barely get it to my chest… it was all mental. Had I just slapped 10-20# more on it and not worried about how much weight it was I would have broke my PR with no problem. Yes, strength and technique are important, but you can also talk yourself out of being able to do something you are fully capable of doing. I proved this point to myself tonight.

Did a puppy/pack version. #95 Cleans and Bench Dips.

I set the rings up and was practicing them, but couldn’t get more than 3-4 out. Didn’t think I could do a full 21-15-9 and had no bar to do regualr dips, so bench dips were what I had to settle for.
